Beach Day Fun

Day 1 - We arrived in Ixtapa yesterday, Saturday, February 27.  We breezed through security and nonstop flight was great!  We had a taxi ride that felt like we were on the Amazing Race.  He was flying down the road.

First night the Holiday Inn had a fiesta in front of the hotel lobby.  Lots of food choices to try!  I loved the macaroons the best!  We met Dave and Cindy from Green Bay so we spent the night chatting with them.

We have met a ton of people from MN and Wisconsin.  We met Howie who owns Howe's Bar in downtown.  We have met most of the people in his large party of friends.

Day 2 - We walked the beach which was about 2 miles long.  Big crashing waves.  I did water aerobics in the pool.  I was thinking it would be easy, not the case.  My arms were burning!  Corp got his first massage... only $13 for an hour.  The sunset was amazing.  Huge oranges purple color.  It always amazes me how it drops so fast into the ocean.

Starting to Blog About Our Adventures

We started traveling to beach destinations about 8 years ago.  I have created many paper and digital scrapbooks to document our adventures.  Sometimes it takes me some time to get to scrapbooking them so some memories are lost.


This blog will allow me to document memories while on the trip so nothing is forgotten.  It will also make digital scrapbooking much easier when the time comes to create the trip book(s).


Our next trip is to Ixtapa, Mexico from February 27 - March 6.
